US Speaker of the House Rallies for Laurie Buckhout in Nashville, NC

Speaker of the United States House of Representatives Mike Johnson was in Nashville, NC the day before the election to rally for congressional candidate Laurie Buckhout. Buckhout is challenging incumbent Don Davis in a race viewed as a toss-up. Speaker Johnson detailed how he believed Buckhout's race was one of the most important in the current election cycle as it would determine the Republican majority in the House of Representatives. Speaker Johnson spoke on his faith, immigration, and crime during his remarks. Laurie Buckhout spoke on her military service and plans for Nash County if elected. Many other candidates were in attendance, including NC House Representative Allen Chesser, NC State Senator Lisa Stone Barnes, NC House Representative Ken Fontenot, congressional candidate Pat Harrigan, and many other US representatives and candidates. The main message from all speakers was to get out and vote. Polls will be open tomorrow from 6:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Make a plan to vote.
